John Hartz is a Managing Director based in Boston who joined Sloane & Company in 1999. John’s knowledge and experience encompasses a variety of fields including financial services, travel and management consulting. He has also worked on a variety of successful crisis communications and thought-leadership campaigns.
At Sloane & Company, John has developed and executed integrated public relations campaigns designed to raise company profiles, enhance reputations, facilitate marketplace repositioning, and promote products and services. John has led accounts including New York Life, the Global Business Travel Association, and Edgenuity, amongst others. John also worked on proxy issues for Elliott Management and has led several campaigns for American Express.
John holds an MBA from Northeastern University and a B.A. in Political Science from the College of Holy Cross where he was the recipient of the Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, an award that allowed him to conduct a year of international research on the role of subway systems in urban development.
